Message in a Bottle

[Verse]

She walks the shore with ocean spray in her hair

With salt on her lips like a whispered prayer

Each dawn she writes what the waves might keep

Promises carved where the sea runs deep

[Prechorus]

From pen to paper

Hope sailing the swell

A story to drown or a tale to tell

[Chorus]

Her message in a bottle floating away

Love for the man who will brave the bay

Give me your life

And I’ll give you mine

Happiness bottled in ocean’s brine

[Verse 2]

She sings to the gulls

They circle her skies

The sun is her witness

The clouds her spies

The sand takes her footprints

And erases her sin

But still she waits for the tide to bring him

[Chorus]

Her message in a bottle floating away

Love for the man who will brave the bay

Give me your life

And I’ll give you mine

Happiness bottled in ocean’s brine

[Bridge]

What man would barter his breath for a vow

What heart could weather a love like hers now

She casts and she waits

Her soul set to roam

A lighthouse of longing

A heart with no home

Verse 3

Yet still she waits, and dreams of love,
Sailing to her heart, guided from above.
She never gives up, each day comes new hope,
Casting another bottle with the same love note.

Chorus

Her message in a bottle floating away

Love for the man who will brave the bay

Give me your life

And I’ll give you mine

Happiness bottled in ocean’s brine
