He’s My Protector

[Verse 1]

I lift my eyes to the mountains high,

Where does my help come from in the sky?

Not from the earth or the hills so grand,

But from the Lord, with His mighty hand.

He crafted the stars, the seas, and the land,

My help is from Him, forever He’ll stand.

(Chorus)

He never slumbers, He never sleeps,

Watching over me, my soul He keeps.

From dawn till dusk, through the darkest night,

The Lord is my guardian, my guiding light.

No harm will come, no fear will stay,

He’s my protector, come what may.

[Verse 2]

He steadies my steps on the rugged path,

Won’t let me stumble in trial or wrath.

Like shade on my right, He shields from the heat,

The sun won’t strike, nor the moon defeat.

Evil retreats at His powerful name,

Preserving my heart from sorrow and shame.

(Chorus)

He never slumbers, He never sleeps,

Watching over me, my soul He keeps.

From dawn till dusk, through the darkest night,

The Lord is my guardian, my guiding light.

No harm will come, no fear will stay,

He’s my protector, come what may.

(Bridge)

In every journey, out and in,

From now until forever begins.

His promise holds through time untold,

My coming, my going, in His fold.

(Final Chorus)

He never slumbers, He never sleeps,

Watching over me, my soul He keeps.

Eternal keeper, faithful and true,

Lord, my help comes only from You.
